My Personal Advice for SEO High Quality Written Articles.

Most website owners and SEO consultants have finally realized that in order to improve rankings on search engine results pages websites have to have textual content to be considered viable providers of information. When looking to create content for your site, there are some simple rules to improve your placement on results pages.

The IEP method

When developing content, I use what I call the IEP method. The content article must provide Information the customer will find useful. Not what I think the search engine is looking for. The information in the article will need to Educate the reader on some point pertaining to the search term and then an article can Promote products or services being sold by the website.

Search engines have become a lot smarter in the past few years and some of them seem almost human in their ability to separate the spam from the valuable information contained in articles. And with so many companies relying on article marketing, the information has to be relevant to search terms entered by users. As the saying goes, “content is king”, but if it’s not done right, it could be the court jester.

5 Ways Businesses Can Use Blogging to Get More Visitors and Gain More Followers

Posted October 25th, 2011 in Blog marketing, Guest posts by bethany

If you are a small or large business owner that has not yet started blogging, it’s time to begin! Blogging is an effective marketing tool, but keep in mind that it isn’t a quick fix to market your business and improve search engine rankings. Regular blogging takes time and commitment, but it will pay off by drawing loyal readers back to your blog again and again to support your brand.

Here are five important tips that you can use as a business owner to make the most out of your blog:

  1. Become an expert in your industry. The entire purpose of your blog is to allow customers to get to know you. And if you are able to position yourself as an expert in your niche, they will be attracted to the free knowledge that you have to offer on your blog. Once your blog becomes a relevant resource of information, visitors will come back again and again and link to posts to share with their friends. This process will improve your brand reputation and search engine rankings at the same time.
  2. Always provide content that is of value. There is no reason to use your blog as a place to post advertorials. Quite the opposite! Instead, you can attract visitors by writing content that has value. Make it your goal to educate, inform, and inspire your readers. You can also use real-life stories from customers to add value to your blog to support your brand.
  3. Be ready to make a commitment. Blogging isn’t something that you can do once a month to see results. Instead, you need to commit to blogging a minimum of 2 to 3 times per week. This will continue to generate fresh content for the search engines, and it will give your readers new content that they can look forward to and subscribe to.
  4. Network your blog through social media. Your blog should automatically sync with your social media profiles, such as Facebook and Twitter. This will give you an opportunity to build up a loyal readership and provide your social media followers with interesting content. This is just one more way to establish yourself as an expert since valuable content is likely to be circulated through social media. Once you provide relevant content again and again, your social media followers will quickly become advocates of your brand. It may take time to get the ball rolling, but loyal followers in social media will be happy to circulate your quality content for you.
  5. Become part of a blogging community. Instead of confining yourself to writing only on your own blog, consider guest blogging for other quality blogs in your industry. This will allow you to provide more relevant content to a brand-new reader base. Your guest blog will link back to your main blog and is likely to attract traffic interested in your niche market. Guest blogging is one of the best ways to gain links back to your website and reach out to new readers who may have never heard of your brand before.

My Weight Loss Site: How I Applied the 10 Steps to Internet Business Success

A guest post by Matthew Denos

After reading carefully Michael’s 10 Steps to Internet Business Success series, I couldn’t help asking him to write a guest post that would testify to the effectiveness of his proven strategy. I followed the exact same steps two years ago to create my first site, a weight loss blog through which I made my first money online.

Before I started my weight loss site, I spent a small fortune on get-rich-quick schemes contributing to the success of those who created the schemes, whether it was the up-line of an MLM or the owner of a product that promised fast money; you know, the too-good-to-be-true type of money.

It was not until I understood the concept of Internet business success the way Michael presents it in these 10 steps that I started building a successful affiliate marketing site; one that could be scaled up and out.

In this article, I would like to look at Michael’s 10 steps, one by one, and tell you how I followed and implemented them to grow a small, yet profitable Internet venture.

hidden treasure Your hidden treasure

There is a treasure hidden and you have it. It’s just a matter of knowing where to look and what you’re looking for. Unlike the treasure chest, hidden treasure is, by its very nature not obvious to most people.

A favorite quote of mine goes like this.

Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go. William Feather
