A huge thank you to all who have signed up for email notifications of new blog posts. This will be the first real, automatic email notification you get (as a result of this post). It is all one big learning curve and I thought I had it all stitched up over at Aweber with my blog broadcasts.
As it turns out I forgot to tick the auto-send box and I had a few blog broadcasts sitting in my pending list waiting for me to review them prior to sending out. I am glad in a way because the format was not correct which is something you would have noticed in the one you got just an hour or so ago – sorry about that.
Anyway, what is a mistake if it’s not an opportunity to learn. I have now learned how the RSS variables work in Aweber blog broadcasting and the email triggered as a result of this post going live should look 100% better than the mangled one you got just a while ago.
Here’s looking forward to more success with all of our online business ventures.

Thanks Barry, I appreciate the feedback.
It’s easy to miss some of the settings in Aweber because they honestly don’t have the most intuitive settings for some of their screens.
That said I’ve been using them for a few years and haven’t ever found anything better.

Hi Chris and welcome to the blog. I find their system is powerful with many options and choices for setting up lists but, yes, sometimes it is easy to miss a step or option.
I’m signed up for updates and I received the nice welcome message.
Aweber and GetResponse have provide me with several learning opportunities
Everything seem to be working on my end.

I’m going to sign up for your list as soon as I finish typing this comment
Can you believe I’ve never tried Aweber? In my old corporate job (the “dark ages”) we used iContact, which worked decently and I’m at least familiar with it, but it seemed like I spent 10 minutes fighting the program for every 1 minute spent actually working on the email campaign(s).
I’ve tried a few freebie email autoresponders for various projects I’ve been working on, and have had mixed results. I probably should just nut up and buy Aweber and go from there…
As a new-found Aweber user, do you find it pretty straight forward?
Rock On

Lee, I have found AWeber to be intuitive and easy to use. It has unlimited autoresponder lists for a reasonable monthly fee. With a massive range of options, customisable forms, click tracking, spam checking and other tools, I am impressed with the service.
This blog is pinged automatically by one of my AWeber lists and when a new post is published it lets all subscribers know with a customisable alert message.
Read about my offer to try AWeber for $1 for two months. You sign up for $1* for the first month, then if you stay connected and renew for 3 months, I will refund you the equivalent of one month fee. *Last time I looked AWeber still had the $1 first month offer.
I’m kind of new to online business, I don’t get the main point, how does auto-responder works? As I read this post I think that this A-weber is useful, can you please tell me if this is down-loadable or a plug-in.

Hi Kate, Aweber is an autoresponder service that is subscription based. There are related plugins that enhance what it does but you need to pay for the basic autoresponder service to make any use of those plugins. I hope that helps. Cheers, Michael.
Thanks for giving me the answer Micheal this will sure help. now I understand how does this Aweber work.
